Yoga workshops are an important tool for it, Yoga as popularly understood and practiced today has been differently interpreted at many places from what had been conceived in original scriptures Physical health and prevention and cure of disease are not the primary aim of Yoga, although in the present time Yoga is also proving more and more useful in this aspect of its application too.
This word Yoga has come from Sanskruta root which means to go into the trance, to meditate. Its derived from the root “Yuj” and also from the root “Yuj’e” meaning to unite, to blind, to join, attach or communion. This union refers to the union of Jeevatma with Paramatma, Prana–Apana, Rajas–Retas, Surya–Chandrma and other opposite duals.
Yoga is one of the six ideologies of Indian philosophy, where each facet reflecting a different shade of meaning and revealing different aspects of the entire range of human endeavor to win inner peace and happiness.
